Rapidly growing Orlando site development contractor is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to manage all aspects of financial operations. This position plays a key role in supporting the CEO with financial planning, reporting, and analysis, while overseeing daily accounting functions and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, leadership, and a hands-on approach to managing the company's financial health.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Develop budgets and forecasts; monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Coordinate and support external audits and banking relationships
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff
  • Collaborate with project managers and operations to track job costs and improve financial visibility across departments
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support business growth and operational efficiency
  • Manage cash flow and oversee financial risk management activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably in construction, real estate, or related industries
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

Compensation:


  • $120k-$125k
