Responsibilities of the Controller


  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and cost accounting functions.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare reports on cost variances.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and product management teams to optimize product costing.
  • Develop and maintain standard cost rates and conduct margin analysis.
  • Prepare and present financial statements, ensuring accuracy in reporting and forecasting.
  • Oversee inventory management, including the annual physical inventory process.
  • Implement and refine cost accounting systems to improve efficiency.
  • Conduct financial analyses for investment decisions and new product development.
  • Work closely with corporate financial teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial data.


Preferred Requirements of the Controller

  • 10+ year's in cost accounting or finance within a manufacturing environment; supervisory experience preferred.
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Proficiency in JD Edwards or other ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and HFM.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and financial forecasting.
  • Ability to lead teams, collaborate across departments, and present financial insights effectively.
