We are currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Controller to join our dynamic team in the Legal industry. This exciting role will require you to oversee all financial operations, including planning, general ledger, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our company's financial functions are organized, efficient, and in compliance with legal regulations. Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all financial operations within the company, including the development and management of budgets, financial plans, and forecasts.
- Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Ensuring the company's financial reports comply with GAAP and other legal regulations.
- Preparing and presenting financial reports to the management team, shareholders, and other stakeholders.
- Implementing and maintaining financial controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial transactions and reports.
- Utilizing QuickBooks for financial management and reporting.
- Monitoring cash flow and managing funds to meet the company's financial objectives.
- Collaborating with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
- Participating in strategic planning, fraud prevention, and budget development.
- Identifying potential areas of cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or other relevant certification is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Legal industry.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger structure.
- Strong experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Exceptional knowledge of payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
