This is a strategic, high-impact role focused on GAAP-compliant reporting, audit management, internal controls, and debt oversight. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare accurate, GAAP-compliant consolidated financial statements across all entities
- Lead and manage internal and external audit processes
- Maintain and enhance internal controls across GL, A/P, A/R, payroll, and cost accounting
- Monitor cash flow and debt, ensure covenant compliance, and support financing strategies
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and liquidity modeling
- Partner with department leads to deliver financial insights and ensure retail-level accuracy
- Provide documentation and memos on complex accounting treatments and procedures
- Occasionally travel to retail sites for audit and compliance support
Job Requirements:
- CPA license required
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (Master's preferred)
- 7+ years in accounting/finance, with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Experience managing audits and preparing consolidated financials for multi-entity, multi-state businesses
- Strong command of GAAP and accounting systems (SAGE, NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks)
- Proven success managing corporate debt and lender relationships
- Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills
- Cannabis industry experience a plus, but not required
- A high level of integrity, personal motivation, adaptability, and sense of urgency
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive information
- Ability to commit to working in office 100% of the time
- Successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Minimum 21 years of age
