Controller - Take the Reins of Financial Success.

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to lead their accounting operations and drive financial success. Responsibilities:

  • Orchestrate all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements - because precision is key.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets - think of yourself as the financial guardian.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes with finesse and efficiency.
  • Supervise and mentor a high-performing accounting team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Manage treasury and cash flow like a pro, ensuring the company always has the funds it needs to thrive.
  • Implement and maintain top-notch accounting policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic financial plans and budgets.
  • Ensure seamless processing within QuickBooks Online.
  • Spearhead the transition to a new ERP system.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in a management role.
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Construction industry accounting experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience in full-cycle accounting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop accounting staff.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Experience with treasury and cash management.

Additional Requirements:

  • This is a full-time, on-site position.
  • The typical work schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility.
