Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic Permanent Controller to join our fast-paced Accounting and Finance team. The successful candidate will be a strategic individual with 5+ years of managerial accounting and financial management experience in a rapidly growing environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our company. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Preserving assets by implementing and maintaining internal controls.
3. Managing and monitoring all aspects of our company's financial management system, including the company's budget and financial planning.
4. Conducting comprehensive financial audits, preparing and presenting financial reports.
5. Directing all aspects of payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
6. Supervising the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
7. Managing and completing timely bank reconciliations.
8. Overseeing the production of monthly reports, financial statements and cash flow projections for use by Executive management, as well as the Audit/Finance Committee and Board of Directors.
9. Implementing and maintaining sales tax collection and reporting systems.
10. Collaborating with team members to establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
2. Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CPA) preferred
3. 5+ years of accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role with experience in partnering with an executive team.
4. Solid experience in coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.
5. A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making.
6. Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
7. A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment.
8. Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission of the company.
