What You'll Do:

As Controller, you'll be responsible for the full scope of the company's financial operations across multiple locations. Your mission will be to ensure timely, accurate reporting, strengthen internal controls, and provide strategic insights to drive the company forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting, including A/P, A/R, and general ledger for multiple entities.
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and financial statement preparation in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
  • Partner with senior leadership on cash management, forecasting, and long-term budgeting.
  • Champion internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory and tax obligations at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Manage the external audit process and serve as primary liaison with auditors.
  • Optimize accounting systems, processes, and reporting through technology improvements.
  • Mentor, develop, and lead a high-performing accounting team.
  • Provide financial oversight on M&A transactions, inventory cost accounting, and foreign currency activity.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA highly preferred.
  • 15+ years in finance and accounting, with at least 10 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong background in manufacturing or industrial environments, ideally in a mid-market organization.
  • Private equity experience is a major plus.
  • Expertise in ERP systems and Excel; experience with budgeting tools is valued.
  • Experience with complex consolidations, foreign currency transactions, and inventory accounting.
  • High-level communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and with executive teams.
