The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company's financial records and account personnel. You will be responsible for the overall integrity, accuracy, and completeness of the financial results of the Company's operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform accounting transactions.
- Bank account transfers.
- Manage monthly and annual accounting consolidated close and financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage debt compliance and covenant requirements.
- Enter JEs into accounting system.
- Prepare monthly account analysis and account reconciliations.
- Create and manage the budgeting process.
- Work with Tax preparer to complete all Federal, state and local tax reporting.
- Payables/Receivables management.
- Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
- Implement, modify and maintain accounting policy to ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Implement, maintain and continuously monitor internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting, proper safeguarding of company assets and compliance with SOX.
- Provide leadership for accounting staff in performance of day-to-day responsibilities.
- Provide technical accounting guidance for M&A activities including diligence and purchase accounting.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Intermediate or above QuickBooks knowledge is preferred.
- Proficiency with Excel.
- Obsessed with complete accuracy and details is required.
- Strong experience in reporting and analytics.
- Experience in Consolidation.
- Demonstrates a strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual basis accounting.
- Experience as a controller a plus.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- CPA desirable.
- Big 4 experience with heavy exposure to audit compliance.
