We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Remote Controller to join our dynamic finance team. As a Remote Controller, you will oversee all accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. You will play a critical role in maintaining financial health, providing insights into business performance, and supporting senior management in strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities for the Controller:

Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

Prepare and maintain financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.

Develop and manage the company's budgeting and forecasting processes.

Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure accurate and timely transactions.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.

Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.

Lead the preparation and filing of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Coordinate audits, assist with external audit requests, and implement any necessary changes to processes based on audit results.

Manage cash flow, including overseeing investments, loans, and working capital to optimize financial health.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy in various departments and projects.

Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting team members as needed.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or controller role.

Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, tax laws, and regulatory compliance.

Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.

Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a remote work environment.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams and management.

Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience in financial reporting, analysis, and preparation for audits.
