Electrical Controls Technician - Ashland, OH

Job Summary:

The Electrical Controls Technician will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various electrical control systems. This includes control panels, liquid level sensors, remote monitoring, and systems integration. The role involves ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical equipment and collaborating with engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, calibrate, and maintain electrical control systems, including off-the-shelf and custom control panels.
  • Systems Integration: Work on integrating various systems for seamless operation and efficiency.
  • Liquid Level Sensors and Alarms: Implement and maintain liquid level sensors and alarm systems to ensure operational safety and compliance.
  • Remote Monitoring: Assist in the setup and maintenance of SCADA and telemetry for effective remote monitoring.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with control systems and related components.
  • Engineering Services: Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement system upgrades and modifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, changes, and maintenance activities.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations, codes, and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical controls or a similar technical role.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of PLCs, control wiring, electrical schematics, SCADA, and systems integration.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for effective teamwork and documentation.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose technical issues and implement solutions effectively.
