Position Title: Control Systems Engineer

What You'll Be Doing: - Deliver expert technical support for troubleshooting, maintenance, and smooth operation of control systems across multiple cement plants, ensuring operational continuity.
- Partner with plant teams and process engineers to assess control system performance, identify optimization opportunities, and execute effective improvement strategies.
- Enhance and sustain expert system applications in critical areas such as crushing, milling, pyro-processing, and environmental compliance.
- Manage and optimize the company's data historian, including tag additions, connection configurations, and custom report generation.
- Facilitate control system upgrades and migrations, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Conduct training sessions and provide technical guidance to operators and engineers on control system operations and troubleshooting techniques.
- Work closely with cybersecurity specialists to establish and implement stringent security measures for process networks, while continuously monitoring for vulnerabilities.
What Are We Looking For: - A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in control systems engineering, ideally within the cement or heavy industrial sector.
- Strong grasp of control system fundamentals, including distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and human-machine interfaces (HMI).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, or function block. Familiarity with multiple control systems is an advantage.
- Experience in configuring and managing VMware virtual environments.
- Understanding of OPC DA servers, clients, and tunnellers.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles relevant to control systems.
- Awareness of digitalization, AI, data historians, and expert systems.
- Familiarity with power metering, instrumentation, gas analyzers, control devices, motor control centers, switchgear, and panel design/engineering.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capability to diagnose and resolve complex control system challenges.
