Electrical Controls Engineer - Direct Hire
Employment Type: Full-time, direct hire
Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (No C2C)
You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation and control systems that power our production floor. You'll work hands-on with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and industrial networks, driving improvements in safety, efficiency, and uptime.
What You'll Do:
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC/HMI/robotic systems
- Improve machine cycle times and efficiency through automation
- Diagnose and resolve issues with sensors, drives, and control components
- Support new equipment installs from design to startup
- Analyze system data to improve processes and reduce downtime
- Create and maintain accurate documentation
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in a controls/automation role in manufacturing
- Strong PLC (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI programming skills
- Hands-on experience with motor controls, VFDs, and sensors
- Familiarity with robotics (Fanuc, ABB) is a plus
- Knowledge of control panel design and electrical schematics
- Bonus: Experience in die casting or metals, vision systems, or IIoT tech
