SMX is hiring for a Contracts Specialist to serve in a US Army Project Office (PM IFMC), providing programmatic support in the areas of Contracts, Program Management, and Acquisition Management, supporting an ACAT IC program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist the USG lead, Product Offices, and Functional Support organizations in planning, preparing, and executing numerous Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract actions concerning the weapon system Prepare and staff acquisition documentations such as Contract Requirements Packages, Source Selection Plans, Acquisition Plans, Functional Requirements Authentication Board documents, Statements of Work, and other required documentation Formally and informally correspond with the Contracting Officer (KO) on contractual matters; answer Contracting Officer letters Manage/prepare the division's Weekly Activity Reports, 1-N Commander's List, Staff Actions, Obligations and Expenditures reports, and other administrative duties Other duties as assigned Required Skills & Experience Clearance Required: Secret Mastery of the MS Office suite of programs Demonstrated ability for function as a productive member of a team Excellent communication skills Knowledge of US Army Contracts processes, policies, and practices Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense FARS and other required regulations/policies/procedures Knowledge of DoD contract execution/contract administration & knowledge of drafting CRPs for weapon system production-oriented & engineering services contracts for high-dollar efforts Must be familiar with: different types of funding; resolving contractual production and services issues; Government Furnished Property & contract close-out Desired Skills & Experience Prior experience supporting a DoD Weapons System Program/Project Office BS/BA in a business-related area Application Deadline: 3/18/2025 The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
