About This Role:
Cardinal is seeking a Contract Administrator to join our dynamic and growing team. As a Contract Administrator, you will perform contract administration duties and responsibilities in accordance with internal policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, and customer requirements. You will also conduct yourself with high integrity and excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
As a Contract Administrator, you will:
- Read through contracts thoroughly to catch any mistakes, missing material, or unnecessary materials and make corrections
- Investigate and define problem areas, and prepare recommendations for solutions
- Draft contract revisions when necessary
- Set up project folder to transition project to the respective team
- Process contracts for proper signatures with the respective representatives
- Negotiate contract terms with internal and external business partners
- Review and update existing contracts
- Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms
- Stay up-to date with legislative changes to ensure Cardinal adheres to all government regulations
- Prevent potential costly litigations by identifying any liability exposure
- Maintain organized system of digital records
- Create language standards for existing and new contracts
- Communicate with various departments
- Coordinate and support all aspects of contract management which include assisting with contract negotiations, administration, and management
- Collaborate with subcontractors to agree on contract terms and conditions
- Administer and negotiate government, commercial, and residential contracts, including proposal preparations and composition for numerous contracts of various types
- Create and distribute monthly reports detailing status of contract activity
- Draft client contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, license agreements, maintenance agreements, service agreements, and any other necessary agreements
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: A bachelor's degree in a Business-related field or high school education or equivalent with sufficient experience is required
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Contract Administrator. Minimum 2 years of experience in Construction, Engineering or Surveying environment preferred
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Microsoft Office (required)

- Ability to manage multiple projects, and negotiate with prospective and existing clients
- Possess good leadership, organizational, and analytical skills to deal with multiple tasks effectively
- Possess good interpersonal skills and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Keen attention to detail, with an ability to spot errors
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers, and external partners
- Attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential requirements

- Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25/50/80 pounds regularly/occasionally
- Must be able to drive a vehicle safely regular/occasionally

- Must be able to sit, walk, talk, and hear for extended periods of time
- Must be able to type/key-in data and answer telephones frequently as needed
- Must have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
- Must be able to see and respond to dangerous situations
- Must be able to wear personal protective gear regularly/occasionally
- Physical ability work including bending, squatting, reaching, stretching, sitting, standing, running, and climbing stairs
- Must adhere to company policies, safety plan, and the project safety plan
