CONTRACTOR SUPPORT TO MICROSOFT PROJECT (SERVER) ANALYSIS DEFTEC delivers mission-critical solutions through skillfully delivered services and innovative products. POSITION OVERVIEW The successful candidate will work collaboratively with NATO Stakeholders to support the Capability Development Team in ACT. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Support portfolio management by developing and maintaining a suitable Microsoft Project Server ecosystem for the organization. Creating custom solutions and integrations using Project Server Interface (PSI) and Client-Side Object Model (CSOM). Designing and implementing custom workflows to automate project management processes. Configuring custom fields, views, and filters to help portfolio managers easily access the information they need. Customizing Project Web App (PWA) to align with the specific needs and processes of the portfolio management team. Maintaining data consistency and accuracy across integrated systems. Integrating Project Server with other enterprise systems using APIs, ensuring a holistic view of portfolio data. Conducting thorough testing and debugging of custom solutions to ensure they meet requirements. Implementing workflows to streamline approval processes, status updates, and other repetitive tasks, allowing portfolio managers to focus on strategic decision-making. Developing Custom Reports: Creating tailored reports that provide insights into project performance, resource utilization, and portfolio health. Supporting the design of custom reports and interactive dashboards using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) , tools like Power BI to give portfolio managers a real-time view of key metrics. Providing training sessions and materials to help portfolio managers and their teams effectively use Project Server tools and features. Offering ongoing technical support to resolve any issues and ensure smooth operation of Project Server. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and best practices for project tracking, reporting, and resource management. Ensure compliance with NATO policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements for project data management. Performs additional tasks as required by the COTR related to the labor category. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, Operations Research, Finance, or a related field. Certification in project management or business analysis (e.g., MSP, PMI-PBA, CBAP, PMP) preferred. Minimum five years of experience in project portfolio management, resource planning, or enterprise project data analysis. Minimum five years of experience in analyzing complex project data, developing reports, and creating dashboards using tools like MS Project, Power BI, Excel, and SQL. Experience improving project workflows, optimizing resource allocation, and supporting project governance frameworks to enhance decision-making. Demonstrable proficiency in effective oral and written communication, including briefing and coordinating with business stakeholders.
