CSCI is a Woman-Owned Small Business seeking a senior-level Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) with 15 years of professional and Industrial or Federal Government security experience to manage Mason Rapid Prototyping Research Center (RPRC) Operational Security (OPSEC) and Communication Security (COMSEC) programs. In addition, the CSSO will perform and supervise annual security briefings, document control processes and procedures, personnel security processes and procedures, and maintain physical security controls. The candidate must have a current TS/SCI Clearance. This position is on-site, Monday-Friday in Springfield, VA. Responsibilities The Contractor Special Security Officers primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manage security program for assigned facility. Perform and supervise the Personnel Security processes and procedures. Perform and supervise Information Assurance duties in consonance with ISSM or ISSO. Maintains the physical security controls and accreditation of the facility. Manage the OPSEC program. Manage COMSEC materials, including equipment programming, inventory management, and secure handling procedures, in accordance with NSA regulations (upon duty assignment). Review security policies and procedures for relevancy and updates or re-writes (as required). Perform and supervise initial and annual security briefings, refresher briefings and debriefings. Perform Physical Security controls ( e.g., self-inspections and reviews). Direct and supervise construction Contractors to make updates to the secure area's. Create and implement of security classification guides and standard operating procedures. Skills - Minimum of 15 Years Experience Required Qualifications: US Citizenship is required. Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility. B.A. or B.S. in a security or business-related field is required or equivalent experience . 15 years of professional Industrial or Federal Government security experience. Completion of FSO curriculum. Extensive knowledge of DISS. Knowledge in Personnel Security. Detailed knowledge of contracting process and DD-254s. Solid understanding of the Security Education and Awareness requirements across DoD and SCI program. Impeccable customer service skills. Good verbal and written communications skills. Expert experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe tools and systems, including Excel, Project, Teams, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint. The employee must maintain clearance and eligibility throughout employment. Working onsite Monday - Friday. Equivalent work experience to a B.A. or B.S. is an additional 6 years of work experience. Preferred Qualifications: SFPC preferred not required. Experience Levels: LEVEL1 - requires a minimum of 3 years related experience LEVEL2- requires a minimum of 5 years related experience. LEVEL 3 - requires a minimum of 8 years related experience. LEVEL 4 - requires a minimum of 10 years related experience. This position is considered a Level 4. Training/Certifications: DD254 Form Short, Derivative Classification, Insider Threat Awareness, Insider Threat Program Personnel PII Training, Introduction to Industrial Security, Introduction to Information Security, Introduction to Physical Security, Introduction To Personnel Security, Introduction To The National Industrial Security Program (NISP) Certification and Accreditation Process, Introduction To The Risk Management Framework, Marking Classified Information, Personnel Clearances in the NISP, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Physical Security Measures and completion of FSO curriculum.
