We are seeking an experienced Contracting Specialist to support critical government contract operations in a highly secure environment. This role is responsible for the preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of complex government contracts and subcontracts, ensuring alignment with legal, regulatory, and company standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and contractual expertise to advise leadership and ensure program success across all contract lifecycle phases. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, negotiate, and manage government contracts and subcontracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
Review and interpret contractual documents to ensure compliance with applicable policies, master agreements, and government regulations.
Analyze cost estimates for materials, equipment, production, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to verify accuracy and completeness.
Advise management on contractual rights and obligations and provide interpretations of complex terms and conditions.
Recommend policy changes and establish procedures that enhance contract management effectiveness within the organization.
Administer and interpret policies and processes that may affect multiple teams or subordinate work units.
Coordinate closely with legal, finance, procurement, and program teams to ensure effective contract execution and risk mitigation.
Maintain detailed contract documentation and ensure timely responses to government and customer inquiries. Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, or
Master's degree with 8+ years, or
PhD or JD with 2+ years of experience.
Demonstrated expertise in government contracting processes, FAR/DFARS, and subcontract management.
Experience managing full contract lifecycle from pre-award to closeout.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex contractual concepts to non-contract audiences.
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required at the time of application.
On-site in El Segundo, CA, area
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting DoD, aerospace, or intelligence community contracts.
Certification in government contracting (e.g., NCMA CPCM, CFCM).
Familiarity with contract writing systems (e.g., PD2, PRISM) and procurement portals.
Working knowledge of export compliance (ITAR/EAR). ARE WE THE ONE?
