Contract Senior Staff Accountant

Contract Senior Staff Accountant Remote, California/West Coast $44-48/hr We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to support our Client's accounting team. This role requires a self-motivated professional with a strong accounting background, capable of working independently as well as with a team. Key Responsibilities:
•   Perform general ledger reconciliations and prepare journal entries
•   Understand and perform technical aspects of amortization and prepaids
•   Analyze discrepancies in accounts
•   Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
•   Prepare accurate financial statements and reports
•   Assist with audit preparation and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements
•   Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, variances, and trends
•   Contribute to process improvement initiatives within accounting workflows
•   Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies Qualifications:
•   Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
•   Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role
•   Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
•   Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, or similar Tier 1 software
•   Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis)
•   Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
