Contract Senior Java Developer with Equities and Securities Lending/Stockloan Experience

MUST be local to New York City. Hybrid Schedule, at least 3 days in office

Responsible for the following
  • Developing sophisticated FO applications
  • Implementing and performing rigorous testing of the software that is developed
  • Understanding business requirements and writing specifications
  • Building applications as per the specification
  • Administering & working with other teams to handle all batch processing and be able to handle job failures.
Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years with Java experience (SE, EE)
  • 3+ years with messaging technologies (JMS)
  • 3+ years database experience - writing or dealing with data access layers (SQL Server preferred)
  • Experience with Spring
  • Experience with Maven
  • Experience with real time integration with 3rd party systems (e.g. Murex, NuvoPrime, SwapOne)
  • Strong architecture & design skills
  • Strong communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate ideas, solutions, etc.
  • Self-driven - Ability to lead projects from initiation to completion
  • Strong educational background with BS / MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related area
