Contract Attorney


Location: Remote

Pay Rate: Up to $85/hour

Position Type: Contract or Contract to Hire, Remote, Full-Time or Part-Time


LHH is partnering with a regional law firm in seeking a skilled Contract Attorney with a strong background in litigation defense, specifically in lemon law, consumer warranties, and employment litigation, with a focus on PAGA claims. The ideal candidate will have extensive defense experience, be California-barred, and able to hit the ground running. Some experience in employment law is preferred. This role requires someone who is independent yet able to collaborate effectively within a team.


Responsibilities:

  • Handle a variety of lemon law defense and employment litigation cases, including PAGA claims, from inception to resolution.

  • Draft, review, and file necessary legal documents, motions, and pleadings.

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.

  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.

  • Work closely with other attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management.

  • Provide expert legal advice and develop effective defense strategies.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Active membership and good standing with the California State Bar.

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation defense experience.

  • Some experience in employment law, particularly PAGA claims, is preferred.

  • Proven ability to manage a high volume of cases and work under tight deadlines.

  • Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.

  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.



Pay Details: $75.00 to $85.00 per hour
