LHH is recruiting a part-time (20-24 hours per week), temporary contract administrator for a Cleveland manufacturing company. The contracts administrator will be responsible for representing and counseling entities on U.S. government contracts, subcontracts, RFQs and RFIs. The candidate will work in the company s U.S. Legal Department and support the company s U.S. government contracts program by conducting the initial review of assigned government RFQs, RFIs, contracts, or other business opportunity documents then advising on recommended modifications, statutory obligations and compliance obligations. Position reports to Senior Commercial Counsel. Hybrid Schedule 90% remote

Responsibilities:
Review government solicitations and contracts (both prime contracts and subcontracts) to identify and advise on the statutory and regulatory requirements (CMMC; FAR; DFARS; etc.), special provisions, and terms and conditions of the opportunity.
Assist with new business pursuits by advising on the contractual, compliance (internal and external) and regulatory obligations of an opportunity to help the business determine if the opportunity should be pursued.
Support the strategic negotiation of contracts by identifying and analyzing contractual risks and related issues, then working with counsel to resolve these issues with customers or vendors.
Interface with internal stakeholders as required.
Negotiate contractual terms with customers as assigned by supervisory counsel.
Assist with the completion of customer-requested representations and certifications.
Prepare and administer correspondence, supporting documents, and contract documentation as directed.
Communicate contract policy and practice to internal business teams.
Act as custodian of contractual and program records for assigned contracts.
Support government registration activities.
Support the business with any required Small Business Subcontracting Program, including the review of Individual Small Business Subcontracting Plans.
Audit processes periodically to ensure compliance and quality control. Act as an internal advocate for government contracting needs and requirements to support adoption of these requirements.
Escalate issues and findings through the appropriate channels.
Create government subcontractor flow-down packages and distribute accordingly.
