Zenith People are working with our client who are a manufacturer and are looking to recruit a Continious Improvement Controller into their team on a permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, duties will include carrying out the day-to-day Quality Control department activities below:-

  • Attending meetings both internally and externally across all levels of the business
  • Conducting inspections of parts
  • Carrying out audits of both products and processes.
  • Covering finished goods from the factory and supplied goods form our supply chain.
  • Ensuring conformance to specifications.
  • Monitoring and measuring of quality related KPI s.
  • Raising, monitoring and processing of the company quality control non-conformances (internal & external)
  • Providing monthly updates on the Non-conformance system
  • Supporting departments in the closure of Non-conformances by assisting with root cause and implementation of both corrective and preventative actions
  • Arranging and attending internal QC Meetings to give quality assistance and updates as and when required
  • Periodic Inspection of in-house processes and outgoing finished products, parts & assemblies to specification and drawings following internal Quality standards
  • Inspection of incoming goods from Warehouse
  • Preparation & Maintenance of Inspection Test Procedures
  • Maintaining and revising of QC documentation registered on the internal business system
  • Conduct Supplier Approval and periodical evaluation activities
  • Conduct off site supplier audits

The Person we are looking for:-

  • Previous experience working in a Quality Inspection environment within Manufacturing is essential
  • In depth knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Standards is essential
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of Production processes is essential
  • Ability to understand technical drawing (reading dimensions, tolerances, interpretation of views) and specific requirements
  • Understanding of how a Production Process works in order to evaluate and improve quality
  • Knowledge of Control procedures & techniques
  • Knowledge of methodologies related to problem solving (8D and 5why)
