Description
The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for bringing the brand to life through storytelling, organic content, and community engagement. This role leads social media, PR, influencer relations, and content campaigns that connect with audiences and support the company's marketing objectives. This position works closely with the digital team to ensure that storytelling and brand positioning are fully integrated across paid and organic channels.
- Manage social media calendar, content creation, and channel engagement.
- Own community management and proactive brand engagement online.
- Coordinate influencer outreach and maintain brand ambassador relationships.
- Lead earned media strategy: draft press releases, maintain media lists, and secure placements.
- Develop campaign storytelling in alignment with larger marketing and business objectives.
- Collaborate with photographers, graphic designers, and other creative partners.
- Oversee creative production timelines and ensure delivery of high-quality content assets.
- Maintain and manage the shared marketing calendar to align campaigns and initiatives across teams.
- Track and analyze content performance; adapt strategy based on engagement metrics.
- Support execution of LSM and NSO strategies through community storytelling and local media engagement.
- Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Lead to ensure alignment between content messaging and performance channels.
- Present campaign concepts and brand storytelling ideas to the Director for review and alignment with strategic priorities.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
5+ years of experience in content marketing, digital strategy, or a related field, bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field preferred.
Strong expertise in content creation, digital marketing, social media strategy, and community engagement.
Proficiency in Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, CRM, and email marketing best practices.
Experience managing PR execution, influencer collaborations, and external brand communications.
Proficiency in graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) to create visually compelling content.
Strong analytical skills to track engagement, optimize performance, and apply data-driven insights.
Ability to balance creativity with marketing strategy, ensuring content aligns with business goals.
Background in multi-location, hospitality, or brand-focused marketing preferred.
ROLE SCOPE & COLLABORATION: This role does not have direct reports but will work cross-functionally with various teams to execute content and digital marketing strategies effectively. The Content Marketing Specialist will be responsible for implementing content-driven marketing initiatives across multiple locations, collaborating with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and vendor partners to drive brand awareness, engagement, and community growth.
This includes executing content strategies, social media campaigns, digital marketing efforts, and PR initiatives while ensuring brand consistency across all channels. Additionally, this role will provide insights and recommendations to leadership, track engagement metrics, and contribute to the execution of new brand initiatives such as product launches, influencer partnerships, and experiential activations. While this position does not include direct supervisory responsibilities, it requires strong collaboration, leadership influence, and project management skills to align efforts across teams and ensure content and marketing objectives are successfully met.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least five years of experience in content marketing, digital strategy, and audience engagement, preferably in a multi-location or high-growth environment. This role requires expertise in brand storytelling, social media strategy, PR, influencer marketing, and digital content creation, with a proven track record of executing successful campaigns. Strong experience in CRM, SEO, email marketing, community engagement, and performance-driven content strategies is essential. While this position does not have direct reports, it requires the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, manage projects effectively, and ensure content consistency across all marketing channels. A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is preferred but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write and speak fluently, in the primary language of the business.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense, define problems, collect data and notify leadership when necessary. Ability to successfully re-prioritize tasks in a moment's notice.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations.
