Firnal Inc. is seeking a Consumer Data Acquisition Specialist to lead efforts in sourcing, procuring, and collecting large-scale consumer data for use in high-impact commercial and political projects. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in data acquisition, consumer analytics, web scraping, API integrations, third-party data procurement, and alternative data sourcing methods. This role requires a strategic thinker who knows how to leverage legal and ethical data collection channels to obtain purchase history, behavioral insights, and consumer trends across the United States and international markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, acquire, and aggregate consumer data from multiple sources, including data brokers, web scraping, API integrations, public records, and alternative data channels.
  • Build and optimize automated programs to collect and structure data at scale, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Develop strategies for acquiring purchase history, financial transactions, browsing behavior, and consumer trends for use in commercial and political analytics.
  • Utilize AI-driven tools and big data platforms to refine and enhance collected datasets for segmentation and hyper-targeting.
  • Ensure compliance with global data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, FCRA, etc.) while maximizing data collection efficiency.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and analysts to integrate consumer data into actionable insights for clients.
  • Stay ahead of emerging data procurement technologies, marketplace trends, and legal frameworks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer data collection, data procurement, or alternative data sourcing.
  • Strong understanding of data broker networks, third-party data APIs, and programmatic data acquisition techniques.
  • Expertise in Python, SQL, web scraping frameworks (BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium), and API integrations.
  • Familiarity with big data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Google BigQuery) and AI-driven data enrichment tools.
  • Deep knowledge of consumer behavior analytics, targeted marketing data, and financial transaction data.
  • Understanding of data privacy laws and best practices for ethical data sourcing.
  • Ability to work on sensitive, high-value data projects with discretion and confidentiality.
