R- Description Leidos has an opening for an Electrical Engineer to support the Navy's Aircrew Electronic Warfare Tactical Training Ranges (AEWTTR) mission. This is an exciting opportunity to use your IA, Cybersecurity, and leadership skills to support the Warfighter. In this mission we provide engineering support for design, modification, and maintenance of ground radar and associated devices for the Navy's aircrew Electronic Warfare (EW) training capability. Our organization designs, manufactures, integrates, and provides depot level support for a wide variety of EW threat simulation systems that are part of the training infrastructure that ensures our Navy aircrews are the most effective in the world. This position will be remote and require approximately up to 25% travel. Estimated travel is between one and two weeks at a time approximately 4-6 times a year to geographically disperse sites associated with the Aircrew Electronic Warfare Tactical Training Ranges (AEWTTR). These training ranges are located primarily located at Cherry Point, NC, Fallon, NV, Yuma, AZ and Pacific Beach, WA. Primary Responsibilities Supports the execution and life cycle management across multiple simultaneous projects, developing and establishing AEWTTR EW / Threat systems to include AN/GPQ-11 Systems, MRES, MEWTS, and HARM emitter systems. Specific tasks include (but are not limited to): Answer technical questions and resolve complex technical issues, including troubleshooting guidance. Support root cause analysis of equipment failures in fielded systems. Assist the engineering team in developing Engineering Change Proposals for enhanced equipment features or to address obsolescence issues. Support tiger teams in addressing urgent technical issues. Provide technical guidance and development support for Jr. Engineers. Support Program Manager in reviewing resumes' for technical positions. Develop and review technical documents for completeness and accuracy. Review test plans and results; to validate procedures, performance, & compliance. Advise Program Manager on risk, scope, and feasibility analysis. Participate in strategic planning meetings. Recommend de-risking strategies to address technical uncertainty. Participate in sustainment roadmap development. Assess end of life hardware issues. Coordinate with third party vendors and suppliers as needed. Assist in defining technical content for contract mods. Assist proposal team in B&P development. Support source selection of subcontractors. Implement emerging new technologies into design of new systems. Basic Qualifications Position requires Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and 12 or more years of prior relevant experience . Active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance. (US Citizenship Required). Must possess strong communications skills, both verbal and written .
Proficiency with standard computer operations and Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Project, etc). Ability to remote work in a flexible team environment and deliver timely, high-quality results. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and strong interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of ESM, ECM, and ECCM. Working knowledge of tactical training range operations. Experience with AN/GPQ-11. Preferred Qualifications Extensive knowledge of ESM, ECM, and ECCM Extensive knowledge of tactical training range operations Experience with AN/GPQ-11 Experience with MEWTS Experience with MRES Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks and teams.
