Job overview
We are pleased to advertise a substantive general radiology consultant post with a subspecialty interest in Musculoskeletal/Spinal Radiology at North Bristol NHS Trust. We are a dynamic, enthusiastic team in a large, friendly department. As a tertiary and quaternary centre for trauma, orthopaedics, plastics, and complex spine, we support reporting and interventional radiography services. The role involves interpretation and supportive management of general orthopaedics, with hands-on diagnostic and therapeutic procedures expected in a multi-modality imaging centre.
Main duties of the job
The post involves a 10 programmed activities (PA) job plan, comprising 8.5 Direct Clinical Care (DCC) and 1.5 Supporting Professional Activities (SPA). There is flexibility for less than full-time work upon discussion. The job plan will be tailored to reflect the sub-specialty interests, including multidisciplinary meetings, face-to-face patient lists, and general radiology activities across North Bristol Trust sites. The post includes joining the 1:18 general radiology on-call rota (1.0 DCC).
