Consultant Obstetric Physician

This is an exciting opportunity for a physician to work alongside the obstetric and midwifery leads for the Wessex Maternal Medicine Network (WMMN). Your main duties will include coordinating and supporting care for women and birthing people across the region with medical conditions diagnosed before, during, and after pregnancy. You will provide medical expertise to improve clinical outcomes.

In collaboration with clinical leads and the project team, you will help develop network-based activities. The obstetric physician role is well established in the region; this is a replacement post following retirement. The position is advertised as permanent, but consideration will be given to a locum (fixed-term) appointment if all requirements are not met.

We are committed to delivering outstanding maternity care across the WMMN. As part of this commitment, we seek to recruit a consultant obstetric physician to further develop obstetric medicine services in the region.
