Overview
As an ePlus Consultant, you will be responsible for designing and implementing single and multi-vendor networking solutions. You will have the opportunity to work within an industry-leading professional services team to understand our clients' needs and deploy the IT systems to meet those business outcomes.
YOUR IMPACT A Consultant will be responsible for implementing network IT solutions including installation, upgrades and reconfigurations to our client's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), datacenters and cloud infrastructures.
The essential functions of this position include:
- Provide deployment and implementation services of multi-vendor solutions
- Stay current with vendor offerings and technology
- Ability to assess customer environment and make recommendations
- Ability to troubleshoot multi-vendor issues
- Provide written documentation including configurations, procedures and diagrams
- Serve the customer to ePlus' standards
- Be available to meet the customers IT needs
- Be an escalation point for peer engineers and escalate issues to other team members as needed
- Be available as a resource to pre-sales to guide and validate jobs
- Working towards achieving multiple advanced manufacturer specific advanced certifications. i.e.: CCNP, CCIE
QUALIFICATIONS - Excellent customer service skills on video conference and in person
- Must be fully knowledgeable and able to design and plan, implement and support IT solutions using two or more of the following technologies:
- Networking (routing and switching)
- Meraki, Aruba, Extreme, Arista
- Catalyst Center (formally DNAC) and ISE would be a plus
- Cisco, Meraki, Aruba Mist
- Meraki, Fortinet, Palo Alto
4-year College degree preferred - 7+ years of hands-on experience in IT
- Multiple Industry recognized Certifications. i.e.: CCNA, CCNP, PSE, ACE
- Ability to travel to customer locations, primarily in New England region
POSITION SPECIFICS The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $90,000 and $125,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and personal leave), dependent on the position offered. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
