Job Title: Construction Technician Level 2 ($17-$21/hour) - pays weekly + benefits

Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Pay Range: $17-$21 per hour
Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Construction Technician - Level II to join our team. This position involves performing a wide range of construction services on small- to mid-sized projects, assisting in project oversight, and mentoring junior technicians. Ideal candidates will have hands-on construction experience and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform construction tasks including rough and finish carpentry, drywall, painting, laminate and prefinished hardwood flooring installation
- Assist in the demolition and removal of affected materials
- Detach, store, and reattach furniture, appliances, and contents as needed
- Provide daily updates and documentation through mobile or digital platforms
- Pick up and manage materials, ensuring timely delivery to job sites
- Conduct site inspections and maintain quality standards
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and team members
- Train and mentor entry-level technicians as needed
- Ensure work is completed within scope, on schedule, and on budget
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year experience in construction or a related trade
- Experience in tile, carpet, roofing, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC is a plus
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong basic math and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in using hand and power tools (eg, miter saw, drills)
- Comfortable using computers and handheld devices for logging work
- General knowledge of multiple trades including drywall, painting, carpentry, and minor electrical/plumbing
- Ability to construct temporary structures like scaffolding and bracing
- Capable of operating machinery (eg, skid steer, tractor, dumpster truck)
- Familiarity with mixing/pouring materials like grout, concrete, and mortar
- Knowledge of tile installation and plumbing fixture replacement
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Standing or walking for most of the workday
- Occasional ladder climbing and exposure to extreme temperatures
- Regular use of power tools and exposure to loud noise
- Driving to and from job sites may be required
Schedule & Travel:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., minimum 40 hours/week
- Occasional overtime, on-call, and weekend work may be required
- Travel is mostly local, with occasional overnight stays possible
