This individual will oversee all construction projects and act as the link between various project parties. The Construction Site Superintendent will lead and manage the on-site construction team and oversee all work on site. This individual will be responsible for orderliness on-site and ensure compliance. You will ensure quality standards are met, and all equipment and materials are available on-site at all times. You will be the liaison with inspection authorities regarding approvals. This individual will also serve as the Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) on location. To ensure success, you will complete projects on time and within budget, and never compromise on quality. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, pro-active, and perform well under pressure. RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
• Lead and manage the on-site construction team as well as lead all the Contractor Quality Control Team
• Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and vendors to complete each project on time
• Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages on the project
• Communicate with the project team (to include Owner, A/E) and support each subcontractor to execute their job duties effectively and efficiently
• Follow and manage the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met
• Utilize the specifications, drawings, and submittals while implementing coordination measures prior to the execution of important details relevant to the project's success
• Identify and resolve project problems and conflicts, organizing meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary
• Document construction progress through digital photos and distribute fiend and daily reports to all stakeholders and the project team
• Set an example in keeping the job site organized and clean, including meeting standards for waste disposal and environmental protection
• Manage the SSHO duties by performing inspections to meet the varying safety and compliance regulations of the job location QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• 5+ years of experience in Construction Management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient with scheduling software
• Proficient in taking and uploading digital photographs
• Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with managing demanding clients and offering creative solutions to meet commitments and requests PREFERRED SKILLS
• Ability to write reports and professional correspondence to subcontractors, vendors, and clients
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Excellent verbal communications skills, especially when addressing customers, clients, or official visitors
• Keen eye to identify non-compliance with regulations or standards and ability to suggest solutions for deficiencies or problems ADDITIONAL NOTES
• Must be OSHA 30 Construction Trained or willing to complete the training curriculum
