We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to lead and oversee the construction of electrical infrastructure within data centers. This role will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle-from handling RFPs and developing scopes of work, to ensuring successful execution through regular site visits and contractor coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Scope Development
- Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables for electrical construction in data centers.
- Collaborate with design teams, engineers, and stakeholders to finalize detailed project plans.
RFP & Vendor Management
- Prepare and manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Evaluate vendor proposals, lead selection process, and negotiate contracts.
On-Site Execution
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality standards, and enforce safety protocols.
- Coordinate with general contractors, electrical subcontractors, and field teams to resolve issues in real-time.
Budgeting & Scheduling
- Track project budgets, timelines, and milestones to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
- Provide status updates and risk assessments to senior leadership on a recurring basis.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, clients, and third-party partners.
- Maintain thorough documentation and reporting throughout all project phases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of project management experience in commercial or data center construction (electrical emphasis a plus).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables under tight deadlines.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and data center infrastructure.
- Proficient in project management tools (eg, MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel for regular site visits as needed.
