We are seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in construction estimating, project planning, construction safety, budget management, risk management, blueprint reading, strategic planning, and team leadership. This is a permanent position that offers an opportunity to manage complex construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach, be highly organized, and have a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
2. Review and interpret project blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the scope of work and project requirements.
3. Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring that projects are completed within the allocated budget and time frame.
4. Conduct site safety checks and implement safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment at all times.
5. Perform risk management to minimize project risks and develop contingency plans as necessary.
6. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
7. Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery.
8. Prepare and submit regular project status reports, highlighting progress, risks, and issues.
9. Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all work meets or exceeds the client's expectations.
10. Utilize strategic planning skills to anticipate potential challenges and develop effective solutions.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Construction Project Manager in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient in construction estimating, project planning, construction safety, budget management, risk management, blueprint reading, strategic planning, and team leadership.
4. Excellent knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team.
6. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
8. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. PMP or equivalent certification will be considered an asset.
