Description
- As the construction project engineer you will:
- Assisting in the overall project management, from pre-construction through project closeout.
- Collaborating with the project team, including the Project Manager, Superintendent, and subcontractors, to ensure project milestones are met.
- Preparing and reviewing project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and specifications.
- Conducting regular site visits to monitor project progress, quality control, and adherence to safety regulations.
- Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Assisting in the management of project budgets, cost tracking, and change orders.
- Conducting thorough project inspections and documenting deficiencies.
- Providing technical support to the project team and resolving any construction-related issues that may arise.
Profile
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry as a construction project engineer
- Familiarity with commercial construction practices and processes (preferred but not required).
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in construction software and tools, such as Procore, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
