Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA for a Construction Project Engineer. The day-to-day responsibilities include project coordination, overseeing construction engineering tasks, ensuring quality control procedures are followed, processing submittals, and maintaining clear communication with project stakeholders.


Principal Accountabilities

  • Ensure the establishment and maintenance of contract documents throughout the project duration, including coordination with relevant parties, ie. owner, project manager, architect, etc
  • Provide project reporting assistance and maintain document control, including procurement logs, shop drawings logs, material tracking logs, inspection reports, compliance report logs, and meeting minutes.
  • Initiate and implement the Preconstruction Quality Control (QC) plan, ensuring adherence to project requirements.
  • Write comprehensive scopes of work for bid packages and effectively issue Request for Quotations (RFQ), followed by diligent follow-up with trade contractors.
  • Interpret project plans, specifications, and details, ensuring accurate understanding and implementation by subcontractors and A/E partners.
  • Assist in obtaining and maintaining all necessary construction permits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to construction schedule input updates, material delivery tracking, and procurement activities.
  • Manage and distribute contract documents, including drawing, specifications, bulletins, Requests for Information (RFI), submittals and other project correspondence.
  • Manage the submittal process, including registry setup, obtaining approvals, preparation of transmittal forms, and coordination of packaging, review, and processing of submittals. Expedite submittals to align with the project schedule and communicate requirements to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Review subcontractors pay applications to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Oversee and assist with the closeout phase of the project, coordinating necessary tasks and documentation.
