Job Title: DAS Construction Manager (Washington, DC)

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $35/hour

Location: Washington, DC

Schedule: Full-time, on-site


Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and self-driven DAS Construction Manager to support a high-visibility project in Washington, DC. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced DAS technician who's ready to take the next step into a Construction Manager role in a single-person market. You'll be responsible for overseeing DAS deployments, troubleshooting fiber and RF systems, and ensuring quality work in a largely autonomous setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee DAS installations and upgrades across Smithsonian buildings
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders and trades to ensure successful project execution
  • Perform RF testing, fiber shooting, and sweep testing
  • Troubleshoot and trace fiber issues on-site
  • Maintain documentation and site progress updates
  • Work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Corning DAS, JMA DAS, and general DAS systems
  • Certifications in Corning, JMA, and DAS solutions
  • Solid understanding of basic RF principles and fiber optics
  • Ability to shoot, trace, and troubleshoot fiber
  • Experience with sweep testing and basic commissioning
  • Reliable and self-motivated; capable of managing a solo market

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with documentation standards and site closeout packages
