What We're Seeking:


We're seeking a Construction Manager to join our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and problem-solver who communicates clearly. This role is based in Seattle, WA, but involves some travel to remote locations for varying durations. The Construction Manager will support the development teams and report directly to the Director of Construction. This individual must be able to function effectively in a dynamic environment with little supervision and be passionate about joining a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.


What You'll Do:


  • Manage all aspects of renovation and construction projects in accordance with organizational standards, budgets, and schedules while ensuring quality of work throughout the process.
  • Support development team by conducting site visits and reviewing budgets, plans, specifications, RFIs, change order requests and draw materials; make recommendations for improvement.
  • Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with public officials, inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers and other partners.
  • Oversee regular meetings with contractors, critical trades and design teams; resolve issues, suggest value engineering alternatives and deliver progress reports in a timely fashion.
  • Enforce organizational policies and uniformity across projects as it relates to construction guidelines and quality standards.
  • Monitor project safety and enforce standards with all onsite personnel without exception.
  • Provide weekly written updates to the Director of Construction on the progress of all current projects and pipeline activities.
  • Perform punch list inspections, work with contracted entities and others to obtain approvals and assure smooth transitions of completed projects to asset management and property management.

What You'll Bring:


  • Bachelor's degree; preferably a concentration in construction management, or documented work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Excellent judgment, attention to detail, intuitive interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize work, manage multiple deadlines and track deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, MS Project, Teams, Blue Beam, MS Outlook, and ProCore.
  • High energy team player that is a self-starter that can work proactively with limited supervision.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong ethics and integrity.
