Telecom Construction and Maintenance Administrator


Job Summary

We are seeking a Telecom Construction and Maintenance Administrator to coordinate field personnel activities, manage construction and maintenance schedules, and provide administrative support for telecom operations. This role ensures efficiency in daily operations, compliance with regulations, and seamless coordination across departments. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in project coordination, and an understanding of telecom infrastructure maintenance and construction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Field Operations Coordination: Oversee daily activities of field personnel, supporting emergency and scheduled maintenance work, construction, and system restoration efforts.
  • Project & Maintenance Tracking: Monitor annual maintenance and capital program workload and schedules, ensuring timely progress and accurate reporting.
  • Scheduling & Compliance: Coordinate construction-related outages with System Operations, maintain asset management databases, and assist with NERC and WECC compliance reporting.
  • Procurement & Budgeting: Support department planning by managing tool and equipment needs, procurement, contract negotiations, and vendor coordination.
  • Contractor Oversight: Review contractor schedules and ensure projects meet deadlines; maintain activity logs and approve invoices as needed.
  • Administrative & Reporting Duties: Prepare reports, handle confidential materials, manage records, and provide analytical support for budgets and business decisions.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Serve as a liaison between departments, government agencies, and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to all company policies, codes, and regulations related to telecom operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in telecom operations, construction coordination, or administrative project management.
  • Knowledge of telecom infrastructure, asset management, and regulatory compliance (NERC, WECC, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong skills in project scheduling, procurement, budgeting, and contract negotiation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and database management tools.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
