Job Title: Construction Manager (Utility-Scale Solar)
Location: Irvine, CA (Site Visits when needed)
Position Overview: A dynamic opportunity exists for an experienced Construction Manager to support field execution of utility-scale solar projects. The successful candidate will lead on-site efforts, interface with subcontractors and stakeholders, and ensure safe and timely delivery of construction milestones. This role is ideal for someone hands-on, adaptable, and ready to contribute to large-scale energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily construction operations, from mobilization to commissioning
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and trades on-site
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and client representatives
- Troubleshoot field-level issues related to energized systems and data acquisition (DAS)
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
- Monitor project progress, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to reporting
- Participate in permitting, inspections, and closeout activities
- Support office-based project planning when site work is limited
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in utility-scale solar construction
- Familiarity with DAS systems and energized system troubleshooting
- Strong coordination and communication abilities with field and client teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to operate independently and shift between field and office environments
- Excellent organizational, reporting, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Service/O&M (Operations & Maintenance) is a strong plus
- Previous involvement with contract-based delivery models with potential for full-time hire
- Experience working closely with engineering and owner-representative teams
- Background in renewable energy, electrical systems, or infrastructure-scale construction
