Hahn Loeser & Parks has an immediate need for a mid-level construction litigation attorney with 3-5 years of experience for our Cleveland office who wants to become immersed in, and be trained by, our nationally-ranked construction law team of attorneys and construction professionals.
Candidates ideally will have experience with the phases of construction disputes and related litigation, including contract negotiations, dispute analysis, factual investigation, and motion practice. However, candidates with commercial litigation experience who are interested in construction law are encouraged to apply.
The position offers an excellent opportunity to assume responsibility and obtain hands-on experience in a collaborative, sophisticated and team-oriented work environment. In this role, you will evaluate, manage, and monitor significant complex disputes, arbitration, mediation, and litigation matters on a local and national basis, engage in risk management of potential claims, develop litigation and resolution strategies, and interact with clients.
Qualifications & Experience
- Three to five years of commercial litigation or construction litigation experience in arbitration, and state or federal court: conducting and managing discovery (including e-discovery), taking depositions, researching and writing persuasive motions and briefs, and litigating pre-trial motions.
- Candidates must have a solid work history and be admitted to the Ohio bar, or be licensed in another state and eligible to waive in
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and organization
