An exciting opportunity is available with a leading firm specializing in project and construction management, engineering, and sustainability consulting. We're on the lookout for a proactive, independent, and highly experienced Construction Inspector to join the team. This role is perfect for someone with hands-on expertise inspecting street lighting, traffic signals, underground infrastructure, and wet utilities-especially those well-versed in LA City and County standards.

The Construction Inspector will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Conducting inspections for the installation of sanitary sewer systems and storm drains, including related structures, in accordance with City and County of Los Angeles Standards.
- Overseeing the installation of underground wet and dry utilities, working within or for various Southern California regional agencies.
- Performing inspections for the installation of street lighting and traffic signal systems, following the specifications set by the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Street Lighting and the Los Angeles Department of Transportation.
- Ensuring compliance with multi-phased, site-specific traffic control plans, with a strong emphasis on pedestrian safety and routing.
- Collaborating professionally with a large team of inspectors.
- Applying extensive knowledge of City of Los Angeles Standard Plans/Specifications and the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (Greenbook).
Requirements:
- High school diploma (or equivalent).
- 30-hour Cal-OSHA training prior to assignment. The 30-hour training must have been completed within the last 4 years.
- 5+ years of experience performing inspection of large-scale Public Works projects.
- Proven expertise in the installation and inspection of sewer and storm drain systems, utility infrastructure, and traffic control measures.
- Strong working knowledge of LA City and County Standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Requires a meticulous professional with extensive field experience and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
