Description

My client is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their preconstruction team. The Estimator will play a critical role in the success of projects by preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets, analyzing project requirements, and collaborating with project teams and clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial, multifamily, and government projects ranging from $20M to $120M+.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare bid estimates.
  • Conduct value engineering to optimize project costs while meeting client goals.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project handoffs to the construction team.
  • Work closely with project managers and the leadership team to ensure estimates align with project goals.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, material costs, and labor rates.

Profile


  • Experience: At least 5 years in construction estimating, preferably with commercial, multifamily, or government projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with construction management software is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous and precise, ensuring accurate estimates and thorough documentation.
  • Problem-Solver: Ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions to reduce costs without sacrificing quality.
  • Team Player: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
