The Chapman Firm, a boutique construction and commercial law firm that primarily serves the construction and real estate industries, seeks a confident and experienced lawyer to join our team. Portable business is not required. Knowledge and experience with construction and construction law is not required. Experience with litigation, drafting pleadings, managing discovery and court experience is required.
The Firm provides transactional and litigation services. A candidate with general commercial and/or construction document drafting and negotiation experience is also preferred but not required.

Candidates must be licensed to practice in Texas.
Responsibilities for the position include the following:
Evaluating, managing and resolving claims and disputes directly with clients.
Assisting in the management, development, and resolution of disputes in litigation.
Managing litigation files.
Coordinating, conducting and managing discovery, motion practice, and final hearings/trials.
Preparing and negotiating design and construction contracts and commercial transactions.
Salary: Although The Chapman Firm PLLC is a small firm, we strive to pay above-market rates for our professionals. Generally, salary determinations are commensurate with experience and qualifications. Depending on experience, salary ranges from $125,000-$160,000.
