Position Summary: In this role, you'll be responsible for managing all facets of project-related accounting - from budgeting and job costing to compliance and reporting. Your expertise will help ensure accurate financial tracking and support the continued success of high-quality construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost reports for construction projects


  • Process accounts payable/receivable tied to project costs


  • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts specific to construction activity


  • Partner with project managers and field staff to monitor financial performance


  • Ensure compliance with contracts, lien waivers, insurance, and billing terms


  • Maintain thorough and organized job cost records and documentation


  • Support month-end and year-end close procedures


  • Prepare internal financial reports and support audit processes


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred


  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience within the construction industry


  • Solid understanding of job costing, WIP reports, and GAAP standards


  • Experience with accounting software such as Sage 300, Viewpoint, or QuickBooks


  • Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills


  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
