Position Summary: In this role, you'll be responsible for managing all facets of project-related accounting - from budgeting and job costing to compliance and reporting. Your expertise will help ensure accurate financial tracking and support the continued success of high-quality construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost reports for construction projects
Process accounts payable/receivable tied to project costs
Review and reconcile general ledger accounts specific to construction activity
Partner with project managers and field staff to monitor financial performance
Ensure compliance with contracts, lien waivers, insurance, and billing terms
Maintain thorough and organized job cost records and documentation
Support month-end and year-end close procedures
Prepare internal financial reports and support audit processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience within the construction industry
Solid understanding of job costing, WIP reports, and GAAP standards
Experience with accounting software such as Sage 300, Viewpoint, or QuickBooks
Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
