Role: Connectivity Architect - Automotive
Location: Southfield, MI
We are seeking a Connectivity Architect with 6+ years of experience in automotive connectivity solutions. This role involves designing and overseeing vehicle connectivity systems including telematics gateways, OTA update infrastructure, and vehicle-to-cloud communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define system requirements and architecture for telematics and OTA features.
- Collaborate across engineering, verification, and service teams.
- Conduct DFMEA and optimize designs through regular reviews.
- Evaluate suppliers and author RFPs/RFQs for connectivity components.
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards and traceability of requirements.
- Solve complex technical issues related to performance, scalability, and safety.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years as a connectivity architect or technical product manager in automotive.
- Strong background in vehicle networks, diagnostics (UDS, DoIP), and telematics (Wi-Fi, LTE/5G, GNSS).
- Proficient in C/C , networking protocols, and system design.
- Experience with tools like JAMA, JIRA, MQTT, and cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of OTA systems, Linux, and cybersecurity protocols is a plus.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field.
