Are you prepared for your next career challenge? The Airborne Systems Business Area within the Defense Sector at Leidos is looking for a cleared Configuration Management Specialist. This position is available at our offices located at Wright Patterson AFB, OH and Hanscom AFB, MA. This is a fantastic opportunity to utilize your expertise in supporting vital missions for the Air Force Research Lab and the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center.
Your responsibilities will include managing product design changes and assessing their impact on overall systems. Duties will involve ensuring configuration identification through thorough document reviews and preparing deviations and waivers for government approval as necessary.
Key Responsibilities: - Facilitate change management by processing problem reports, reviewing change requests, and preparing relevant documentation.
- Review and release configuration items, such as documents and drawings.
- Verify adherence to specifications and drawings as per the program's configuration management standards.
- Assist in utilizing configuration management tools for tracking and managing configuration items.
- Support Product Change Assessments (PCAs) and Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs).
- Conduct audits of aircraft modifications/installations against baseline configuration reports and drawings.
- Audit mission systems hardware and software against baseline Risk Management Framework (RMF)/Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) artifacts.
- Support engineering and configuration control boards.
- Assist in documenting and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and government standards, including correct markings, security labels, and distribution statements.
Basic Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with customers and colleagues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong working knowledge of SharePoint or equivalent Document Management Systems.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- 10% CONUS travel is required.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications: - Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems.
- Familiarity with AS9100 requirements.
- Working knowledge of DoD Configuration Management Standards: MIL-HDBK-61 and/or EIA-649.
- Experience with Technical Data Release Management (drawings/documents).
- Familiarity with SharePoint Online list and forms.
