Tyto Athene is searching for a
Configuration Management Manager (CMM)/Project Manager (PM) to support our Defense Health Agency (DHA) customer in Aurora, CO. This contract is accountable for the management and operation of the integrated set of financial management, acquisition support, contract management, and contract operations applications supporting the Procure-to-Pay, Budget-to-Report, and Order-to-Cash processes. This is a dual role focused on overseeing the configuration management of systems and applications while also leading projects to ensure they are completed efficiently, within scope, time, and budget. This position ensures all configurations are properly documented, tracked, and maintained. Additionally, the role involves managing projects related to system updates, deployments, and other technical initiatives, ensuring that these projects align with organizational goals and deliverables.
Responsibilities: - Develop and Implement Configuration Management Processes:
- Establish and enforce configuration management policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure all hardware, software, and documentation are properly versioned and tracked.
- Lead the configuration control board (CCB) process to review and approve changes to configurations.
- Maintain Configuration Baselines:
- Ensure that configuration baselines are created, maintained, and updated as needed.
- Ensure that changes to configurations are documented and auditable.
- Manage Configuration Items (CIs):
- Oversee the identification, documentation, and maintenance of configuration items (CIs) for hardware, software, and systems.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure that configuration data is consistently captured and updated.
- Risk Management and Impact Analysis:
- Assess the impact of configuration changes on system functionality, security, and performance.
- Mitigate risks associated with improper configurations and potential disruptions.
- Reporting and Auditing:
- Provide regular reports on the status of configuration management, including compliance with standards.
- Conduct configuration audits to ensure proper version control and adherence to configuration management processes.
- Project Management Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Lead and manage technical projects from inception to completion.
- Develop project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute projects within scope, time, and budget constraints.
- Resource Management:
- Allocate resources effectively, ensuring that team members are assigned appropriate tasks based on their skills and expertise.
- Monitor and adjust project schedules, resources, and priorities as necessary.
- Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders and leadership.
- Provide regular status updates, issue escalation, and ensure clear communication throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Track and report on key project metrics, ensuring all milestones are met.
- Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify potential risks and issues in the project and take proactive steps to resolve them.
- Work with stakeholders to mitigate risks and address issues in a timely manner.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and satisfy project requirements.
- Conduct project reviews to ensure all goals and specifications are met.
- Post-Implementation Support:
- Support the project post-deployment, ensuring smooth handover and integration into operations.
- Gather feedback to evaluate project performance and identify opportunities for future improvement.
- Resource Management:
- Responsible for managing and proving oversight to the MPS, CM DBA, BA/Testers, PRISM and Continuous Monitoring teams
Required: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Proven experience in configuration management and/or project management, typically 5+ years
- Experience with ITIL or other configuration management frameworks is highly desirable
- Certified Configuration Management Professional (CCMP) or ITIL Certification for Configuration Management
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management certifications

- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in documentation and compliance

- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
- Experience with ColdFusion, AWS, DCOPS, and Cloud Control
Clearance: - Active Secret Clearance Required
Location: - Work is located 100% on government site in Aurora, CO
Compensation: - Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $160K-$175KThis does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
