Overview We are seeking an experienced Configuration Management Lead to support a future program supporting an Intelligence customer and their National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC) enterprise. The CM Lead will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), as well as managing hardware and software inventories, licensing, policy documentation, and systems libraries. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain knowledge, automation experience, and a strong understanding of DoD IA and CND operations. Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the NMEC Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring data accuracy and automation where possible. Maintain and manage hardware and software inventories, license tracking, and software libraries to support enterprise IT operations. Ensure compliance with DoD Configuration Management practices and standards, including those aligned with IA and CND operations. Support the development and regular updating of IT policy documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across Information Assurance (IA), Configuration Management (CM), and Computer Network Defense (CND). Collaborate with other IT and program stakeholders to ensure proper CM practices are integrated throughout the system lifecycle. Provide project management support for CM-related initiatives, including planning, documentation, tracking, and reporting. Interface with security, operations, and engineering teams to ensure configuration items are properly controlled and documented. OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS: This position anticipates onsite work with standard work hours, Monday-Friday. TRAVEL: No travel is currently anticipated for this role. Qualifications CLEARANCE: Active Top Secret with SCI and CI Polygraph clearance required at the time of application for initial consideration. This position is not open to clearance sponsorship, upgrade, or reactivation. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field; desired. Applicable experience may also be considered in lieu of a degree. CERTIFICATION(S): DoD 8570 Level I certification (e.g., A+ CE, Network+ CE, or equivalent). REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of relevant Configuration Management experience in a government or DoD IT environment. Strong understanding of CMDB tools, automated asset discovery, license management systems, and ITIL-based CM best practices. Experience in developing and maintaining IT policies and standard operating procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present technical information to non-technical audiences. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Experience supporting IC or DoD organizations, particularly within IA, CM, and CND disciplines. Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy. Knowledge of NIST and DoD cybersecurity frameworks. Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent).
