Description SAIC is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Configuration Analyst to join our talented team. In this role, you will identify, organize, and control software and hardware configuration changes for the UAVIO project. Work is performed on site in San Diego, CA. Key Responsibilities: Provide support to project teams in configuring and base-lining project items. Prepare configuration documentations and maintain Configuration Management (CM) database. Review and recommend improvements to existing CM processes. Maintain data quality, integrity and security of CM database. Schedule audits on CM database and assist in implementing audit recommendations. Develop security guidelines to avoid unauthorized damage or usage of project items. Work with configuration teams in development and enhancement of CM tools. Assist in management, maintenance and automating of CM tools. Maintain proper version controls of software deliverables. Oversee the delivery of software applications in test and deployment environments. Analyze configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions. Responsible for the Configuration Change Board (CCB's); ensures appropriate functional areas interested in the change/release sign off on the item(s). Perform configuration identification (Form, fit, function or backwards compatibility) and configuration control (Baseline into CM for ECO or ECR process; change management and CCB to release of item). Perform configuration status accounting (visibility into documentation, status and configuration information concerning the product). Perform Configuration audits and ensure that all Configuration Items (CIs) are identified and baselined. Ensure all items generated are under version control and are archived in the CM repository. Be responsible for hardware and software integration and implementing CM policies and procedures. Participate and provide Configuration/Data Management support at various meetings that may include Configuration Control Boards, Physical Configuration Audit, Software Engineering Review Boards, etc. Maintain CM Plan and Desktop guide. Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years of professional experience in configuration management; master's degree and seven (7) years of experience. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Demonstrated communication and documentation skills. Ability to clearly define and categorize Configuration Items (CIs) across hardware, software, and network components. Ability to identify critical attributes of each CI for effective tracking and management. Ability to manage change requests through a structured process, including impact analysis and approvals. Version control and baseline management experience to track configuration updates. Maintain accurate records of system configurations and their current state. Ability to generate reports on configuration status and compliance. Ability to identify deviations from established baselines and initiating corrective actions. Security Requirement Must have an active Secret clearance Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline. Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
