The Concerts and Events Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of concerts and events under the leadership of the Concerts and Events Director. This role focuses on the operational and logistical elements of event management, ensuring that events meet Moody Global Media's strategic goals, align with brand values, and are delivered within budget. The Concerts and Events Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day event operations and reporting to ensure the successful execution of all event aspects while supporting the larger strategic vision set by the Director of Media Growth Strategies and the Vice President of Moody Global Media.

- Manage and respond to new concert and event leads sent to the department by voicemail, emails, and community impact directors.
- Secure opportunities for donors to have excellent experiences at concerts and events and work with the Stewardship Department to facilitate.
- Secure on-site event presence and on-air interviews in Moody Radio's markets
- Generate concert and event revenue across all local stations and network music opportunities.
- Assist the Concerts and Events Director in planning and executing concerts, station/listener trips, gatherings, and special events.
- Coordinate event logistics, including vendor management, venue setup, transportation, catering, and technical requirements (e.g., AV, sound, lighting).
- Collaborate with community impact directors and other local personnel in coordinating event staff and volunteers, ensuring all team members are well-trained.
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure timely communication and promotion of upcoming events.
- Maintain detailed event timelines and checklists, keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
- Oversee on-the-ground event operations, including setup, execution, and tear-down.
- Ensure smooth execution of live production elements such as front-of-house (FOH) sound, lighting, and stage setups.
- Track and report on event budgets, ensuring financial goals are met and expenditures remain within approved limits, and prepare post-event reporting and analysis.
- Ensure all internal stakeholders are informed of event details, providing clear and consistent communication throughout the planning and execution phases.
- Collaborate with the Director on post-event reporting and analysis to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Concerts and Events Director.
Minimum Requirements- A strong, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Bachelor's degree
- Alignment with the mission and values of Moody Global Media and Moody Bible Institute.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Strong understanding of live event production, staging, and technical requirements (e.g., sound, lighting, FOH).
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and proactive in achieving results.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances quickly.
- Experience managing event budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends
- Authorized to work legally in the US without sponsorship
Preferred Requirements- Proven experience in event management, including a track record of successful events
- Media industry experience

This is a full-time position. This role can either be worked remotely (if outside Chicagoland) or a hybrid from both the Chicago campus and from home (within Chicagoland).
Some travel is expected for this position.
