Computer Systems Engineer Data Architect

ECS is seeking a Computer Systems Engineer Data Architect to work in our Lanham, MD office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Computer Systems Engineer - Data Architect to join our team. This is a senior-level role designed for an expert in designing, developing, and implementing data systems, architectures, and solutions that meet the evolving needs of the organization. You will work across teams to drive data strategy, ensure data governance, and design efficient, scalable data infrastructures that support complex business requirements.

Responsibilities:
-Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of data architectures, ensuring the efficient storage, retrieval, and management of data across multiple platforms.
-Develop and implement strategies for data integration, transformation, and consolidation from multiple sources.
-Architect large-scale data systems, including data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based data solutions, ensuring they are scalable, resilient, and aligned with organizational goals.
-Ensure data governance best practices are followed, including data quality, security, privacy, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to build data solutions that support analytical and operational needs.
-Provide expertise in the areas of data modeling, data lifecycle management, and advanced database technologies.
-Conduct assessments of current data systems and recommend improvements or redesigns to support business growth and evolving data needs.

Salary Range: $145,000 - $162,000

-Expertise in data performance tuning, query optimization, and managing large-scale datasets for speed and scalability.
-Strong ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data architectures that support business objectives.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data and systems issues
